“When it was time to give birth to my baby girl, I needed a Maama Kit, or the nurses and medical staff could not help me and would send me away to give birth in the village. By GOD’s Grace and through the love of my WeRemnant family, the support came just in time. In Uganda, pregnancy and childbirth are very frightening because we never know if we will survive it. But thanks to your prayers and kindness, I had what I needed. GOD was with me—I delivered safely, and today my baby girl and I are both healthy and strong. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.” – Mugabe Jackline Y.
“The day I went into labor, I made it to the local hospital, but I had no Maama kit. The nurses were ready to send me away to give birth in the streets, because they knew I would not make it to my village. But Jackline Y. saw me, a complete stranger, and she shared her Maama Kit supplies with me. After her delivery, the nurses washed and sanitized the gloves and the blade. They used it for me. The Maama Kit contains cotton and baby supplies. Jacqueline told the nurses to use the unused cotton for me and she gave me some of her baby supplies. This act of love saved me and my baby. If not for her, I know my baby and I would not be alive today. From my heart—thank you Jackline Y. and her WeRemnant Family.“ – Mabbira
