WeRemnant Ebola Response

Ebola has returned to Uganda, and I praise GOD, that HE has prepared us to respond. Here is what we are doing right now.

The villages of Kinyabakazi, Bwenanule, and Nyakahuhire — including the refugee community near the Uganda–Congo border — are communities where we already serve through our orphanage, schools, farm, church, and clean water system supporting more than 7,100 people.

In 2025, the LORD enabled us to bring clean water and train 30 hygiene and sanitation workers. HE knew Ebola would come in 2026. The best way to prevent the spread of Ebola is to teach proper sanitation, good hand-washing techniques, and keeping safe distances. Therefore, our response effort is targeted on Ebola prevention, symptom recognition, supplying medication, and quarantine procedures.

Together, We Are:

• Holding an intensive 2-day Ebola prevention and response training for our workers, 1^st week of June
• Launching door-to-door education efforts in all three villages simultaneously shortly after training is complete
• Distributing hygiene supplies and protective materials during these door-to-door training visits
• Preparing community support tents for care, hydration, and prayer
• Buying medical and symptom-support supplies
• Purchasing land to start building a clinic to serve these communities

Today, the nearest hospital is more than 12.5 miles away. For many of those the LORD has called us to serve, reaching medical care is nearly impossible because they have no transportation and must often travel on foot.
